Work setting: Employer’s home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Room and board provided, Relocation costs covered by employer, and Willing to relocate
Target audience: Supervise and care for multi-aged group of children, and Children
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of the job and capable of handling heavy loads efficiently
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure
- The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail

- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have a client focus, demonstrating excellent oral and written communication
- The candidates should exhibit initiative and demonstrate sound judgment, along with flexibility in their approach to tasks
- The candidates should be organized and reliable team players, with good time management skills to effectively prioritize responsibilities

- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be capable of assuming full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, managing daily activities, and ensuring the family’s well-being
- The candidates should be proficient in performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining the household’s cleanliness and tidiness
- The candidates should be responsible for shopping for food and household supplies, ensuring the availability of necessary items for daily living
- The candidates should accompany the family on trips and provide assistance with child supervision and housekeeping tasks
- The candidates should handle laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens, ensuring garments and textiles are clean and well-presented
- The candidates should be skilled in bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children, providing attentive care to their basic needs
- The candidates should discipline children according to the parents’ methods, promoting positive behavior and development
- The candidates should instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, teaching essential life skills and values
- The candidates should maintain a safe and healthy home environment by minimizing potential hazards and implementing safety measures
- The candidates should organize recreational activities and outings for children, offering opportunities for enrichment and enjoyment
- The candidates should prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits and nutrition for the family
- The candidates should supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness
- The candidates should provide transportation for children to and from school and appointments, fulfilling their transportation needs
- The candidates should attend to the emotional well-being of children, offering support, comfort, and guidance as necessary
- The candidates should assist children with homework, providing encouragement and assistance with academic tasks
