Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, and work in employer’s/client’s home.
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: CPR Certificate, and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, and medical exam
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client focus in their interactions and tasks, possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication, and exhibit reliability in completing assigned duties
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances, show initiative in problem-solving and task execution, and be organized in managing tasks and priorities
- They should exercise good judgment in decision-making and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- The candidates should be able to travel with the family on trips, assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, and tend to the emotional well-being of children
- The candidates should be able to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and take children to and from school and to appointments
