Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (Note: This is NOT a condition of employment), Work in employer’s/client’s home, and Employer’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be willing to perform repetitive tasks and capable of handling weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility, show initiative, and demonstrate good judgment
- The candidates should be reliable
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, launder clothing and household linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to plan therapeutic diets and menus, provide companionship, and provide personal care, shop for food and household supplies, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
