Employment Type: Casual employment Part time
Location: Marystown, NL
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: Certificate of Conduct, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in non-smoking
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, exhibit client focus, and demonstrate dependability
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication
- The candidates should be flexible, demonstrate initiative, and be organized, reliable team players
- The candidates should exhibit patience and demonstrate honesty
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care with compassion and professionalism, including assisting clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene respectfully
- The candidates should be able to administer medications accurately following prescribed guidelines and provide personal care according to the needs and preferences of clients
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens effectively, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties efficiently, and prepare and serve nutritious meals to meet dietary requirements
- The candidates should be able to including cooking meals that are both delicious and appropriate for clients’ dietary needs
