Shifts: Day, Morning, 08:00 to 16:30
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, urban area, work in employer’s/client’s home, relocation costs covered by employer, and willing to relocate
Target audience: Adults, elderly, persons with a disability
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check and immunization records
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and refrain from wearing scents to ensure a scent-free environment
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary, while being comfortable with sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be skilled in handling heavy loads and capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently
- The candidates should be able to handle weights ranging between 61 and 80 kg (133-176 lbs) effectively

- The candidates should prioritize client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication and show flexibility in their approach

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications to clients accurately and according to prescribed guidelines
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene with sensitivity and respect for their dignity
- The candidates should be able to assist clients in regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical health and well-being
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens for clients, ensuring cleanliness and comfort
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties in the client’s environment to maintain a clean and orderly space
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship to clients, engaging in conversation and activities to alleviate loneliness and promote mental well-being
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care to clients, including assistance with grooming, dressing, and toileting, as needed
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, considering their dietary preferences and any specific dietary requirements
