Salary: $17.73 hourly for 2 to 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Casual employment Part time
Location: Corner Brook, NL
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Certificate of Conduct, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, Medical exam, Tuberculosis test, Reference required, Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, client focus, dependable, initiative, and reliable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including administering medications
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, as well as perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship and personal care
- The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies, as well as prepare and serve nutritious meals
