Work setting: Urban area, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Willing to relocate and Employer’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Other trades certificate or diploma
or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking and comfortable with bending, crouching, kneeling, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks and be comfortable with both sitting and walking
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to care for pets, administer bedside and personal care, and administer medications
- The candidates should be able to assist clients in water (i.e., pool), assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, change non-sterile dressings, and collect specimens
- The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship and personal care
