This is NOT a condition of employment, Room and board provided, Rural area, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Relocation costs not covered by employer, Willing to relocate
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Adolescents, Females, Persons with a disability, Persons with an intellectual disability, Persons with physical disabilities
Experience with special needs children: Assistance with mobility
Security and safety: Criminal record check and reference required
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and physically fit for demanding tasks
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as handling a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be accustomed to repetitive tasks and capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual, dependable, and reliable
- The candidates should exhibit client-focused behavior, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral communication abilities
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, show initiative, and exercise good judgment
- The candidates should be organized
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including assisting clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to administer medications and assist clients in water-related activities, such as pool assistance or regular exercise like walking
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, performing tasks like feeding, laundering clothing and household linens, mending, and light housekeeping
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship, personal care, and also shop for food and household supplies
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals
