Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Urban area, and Work in employer’s/client’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Reference required, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling when necessary, and adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to handle heavy loads safely
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and physically fit for demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and stand for extended periods as needed
- The candidates should be capable of walking as part of their regular job duties and able to work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality in their work and prioritize client focus in their interactions
- The candidates should be dependable in completing tasks and meeting deadlines, and possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication
- The candidates should be flexible in adapting to changing circumstances and show initiative in taking on new challenges
- The candidates should demonstrate good judgment in decision-making and be reliable in their performance and commitments
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to care for pets and administer bedside and personal care, including administering medications
- The candidates should be able to assist clients in water (i.e., pool) and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, and assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder
- The candidates should be able to change non-sterile dressings, feed or assist in feeding, and launder clothing and household linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provide companionship, and provide personal care
