Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required, and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout their duties
- The candidates should be proficient in handling repetitive tasks and able to handle weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and reliability in fulfilling their responsibilities
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility and good judgment in decision-making, and be organized in their tasks and responsibilities, ensuring they meet deadlines and commitments
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and feed or assist in feeding
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care and prepare and serve nutritious meals
