Mary Maguire based in North York, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Home support worker. Mary Maguire began her career as a stage actress in Australia before moving to England in the early 1930s to pursue a career in films. We are a home of cooperation and providing all the basic facilities and care to our employees. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam
Target audience: Elderly
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to sit, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, dependable, organized, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, and mend clothing and linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship and provide personal care
