Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 45 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Toronto, ON
Shifts: Day, Weekend
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Urban area, Various locations and Landscape contractor

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Area of specialization: Plant knowledge and identification and Residential

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and should possess manual dexterity
  • The candidates should have a keen attention to detail and be capable of handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should be physically fit and able to meet the demands of the job, including the ability to distinguish between colors
  • The candidates should expect a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday, and should be able to stand for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required for the job

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong focus on client satisfaction and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities and exhibit flexibility in their approach to work
  • The candidates should be organized and reliable in meeting deadlines and commitments
  • The candidates should be team players, able to collaborate effectively with others

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, as well as assess the health of lawns
  • The candidates should be able to direct crews who maintain the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes, and plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes
  • The candidates should be able to plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens, as well as plant and move trees
