Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Child care centre, Children’s program
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Immunization records, Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, client focus, dependable, initiative, flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have values and ethics, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture
- The candidates should be able to vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- The candidates should be able to make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries
- The candidates should be able to stock linen closet, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, pick up debris and empty trash containers
- The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- The candidates should be able to handle and report lost and found items, wash windows, walls and ceilings
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, administer first aid in emergency situations
