My Little School Daycare based in North Vancouver, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Infants’ daycare worker. My Little School Daycare offers comprehensive daycare programs designed to support children’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. My Little School Daycare provides age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, music, outdoor play, and educational games, to encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Medical exam, and Immunization records
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be dependable
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
- The candidates should be able to support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
- The candidates should be able to provide opportunities for children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
- The candidates should be able to discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- The candidates should be able to have knowledge of licensing regulations
- The candidates should be able to establish guidelines for behavior
- The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- The candidates should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
