Position: Ironworker – reinforcing rebar
No of Vacancies: 6
Salary: $33.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 8 Lonsdale Ave, North Vancouver, BC V7L 0B2
Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning, 07:30 to 15:30
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Area of specialization: Install reinforcing steel, Install pre and post-tensioned cables
Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel comfortably
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in noisy environments
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have dependability and be reliable team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform job-site calculations and signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints
- The candidates should be able to position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures
