Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have successful completion of an Office or Legal Administration program
Experience: Candidates should have significant executive and administrative support experience

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical, often short, deadlines

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have extensive experience and proficiency with technology, software, and applications, including Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
  • The candidates should possess legal experience and have experience working with YG financial processes
  • The candidates should demonstrate a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail and exhibit self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and take initiative
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment
  • The candidates should have an understanding of judicial independence and exhibit professionalism, including tact and diplomacy
  • The candidates should possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and research skills and demonstrate the ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
  • The candidates should have analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide a full range of executive and administrative assistance to the Senior Judicial Assistant, three resident justices of the Supreme Court of Yukon, and several deputy judges, reporting to the Senior Judicial Assistant
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism, self-motivation, diplomacy, and confidentiality in their day-to-day work
  • The candidates should be able to work effectively alone or in a team environment with minimal supervision and manage a fluctuating workload with frequent interruptions while continuing to meet deadlines
