Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
Experience: Candidates should have six (6) months of experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be prepared to experience constant interruptions as well as the competing demands of multiple individuals, requiring them to balance workload with differing levels of priority and urgency
  • The candidates should be prepared to handle situations such as Users can become agitated, angry, or frustrated with information concerning their access to Aurora College information technology infrastructure and/or software
  • The candidates should clearly identify their eligibility in order to receive priority consideration under the Affirmative Action Policy

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to report to the Information Technology Analyst and support Aurora College students by providing tier 1 help desk support, answering questions, and providing training related to information systems, student and staff accounts, and network infrastructure access
  • The candidates should be able to work closely with other IT Technicians and IT Analysts to escalate incidents and resolve technical issues
  • The candidates should be able to provide support related to network infrastructure connectivity, navigation of and access to information systems, email system, licensed software, and other technology critical to operations, including audio/video conferencing and reprography technical support
  • The candidates should be able to create training tools and provide training for students and staff related to hardware/software use, account access, and security

Benefits:

  • The candidates will get an annual Northern Allowance of $6,903
