Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and work under pressure
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs), 13.5 kg (30 lbs), and 23 kg (50 lbs) accordingly
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables, clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, and clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
- The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, place dishes in storage areas, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
- The candidates should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, keep records of the quantities of food used, and package take-out food
- The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and stock refrigerators and salad bars
- The candidates should be able to use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, clean and sanitize the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products
- The candidates should be able to receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, remove kitchen garbage and trash, sharpen kitchen knives, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
- The candidates should be able to wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
