Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Food Service worker certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities, and capable of handling heavy loads as part of their duties
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required by the job, physically fit and able to meet the demands of a physically demanding job, and adept at handling repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods as necessary for the role, work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, and handle loads up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as part of their job responsibilities

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place dishes in the storage area
  • The candidates should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, scour pots and pans, keep records of the quantities of food used, package take-out food, and portion and wrap foods
  • The candidates should be able to prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, stock refrigerators and salad bars, use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, handle and store cleaning products
  • The candidates should be able to receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, remove kitchen garbage and trash, sharpen kitchen knives, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
