Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate, and Food Service worker certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities, and be willing to work overtime when required to meet deadlines or handle workload
  • The candidates should be physically fit and able to meet the demands of a physically demanding job, able to handle heavy loads up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as part of their duties, and adept at handling repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods as necessary for the role, work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, and ensure smooth operation of job responsibilities

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, enabling them to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with colleagues and clients, and demonstrate reliability by consistently fulfilling their duties and commitments

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans
  • The candidates should be able to place dishes in the storage area, keep records of the quantities of food used, package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • The candidates should be able to stock refrigerators and salad bars, use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, clean and sanitize the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, remove kitchen garbage and trash, sharpen kitchen knives, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
