Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Deep fryer, food dispensers, and grill
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas, set tables, and carry and replace linen.
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, waste disposal units, and kitchen equipment
- The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, load buspans and trays, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
- The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans
- The candidates should be able to package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables
- The candidates should be able to stock refrigerators, salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in storage areas
- The candidates should be able to take customers’ orders, use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment, handle and store cleaning products, remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
