Cardero’s Restaurant based in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Kitchen helper. Cardero’s Restaurant offers diners stunning views of the marina and surrounding mountains. The menu features freshly grilled fish, wok dishes, and specialties from their wood-burning oven, such as cedar plank salmon and house-made pizzas. Guests can enjoy live music in the marina-side pub and a year-round patio, enhancing the vibrant dining experience. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and be available for overtime as required
- The candidates should be physically capable of performing demanding tasks, perform repetitive tasks efficiently, and stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure, lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be focused on client needs and satisfaction, have efficient interpersonal skills, and be reliable and dependable
- The candidates should be able to work effectively as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and load buspans and trays
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place dishes in storage areas
- The candidates should be able to replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and remove kitchen garbage and trash
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
