Purdys Chocolatier, based on Kingsway in Vancouver, BC, is inviting for competent candidates for the position of Kitchen helper. Purdys Chocolatier’s chocolates are well-known. We are well-known for working with the goal of offering high-quality items backed by extensive knowledge. The Company’s line of business includes manufacturing chocolate and cocoa products. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to full-time or permanent employment.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need an experience of 1 year to less than 2 years
Financial benefits: As per the collective agreement

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidate should be a combination of standing for extended periods and walking

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate must be able to create work schedules.
  • The candidate should be able to hire and train or arrange for staff training. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must be able to operate in a flexible atmosphere. The candidate must be able to work accurately.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player.
  • The candidate must be proficient in spoken communication.
  • The candidate should be able to focus on the client while working.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should produce centers in accordance with recipes, processes scrap in accordance with recipes, and clean equipment on a daily basis.
  • The candidate should perform equipment start-up and shutdown procedures, as well as required checklist documentation, for a variety of pieces of equipment, including but not limited to Awema, extruders, depositors, mixers, grinders, and beaters
  • The candidate should orders materials and ingredients from the warehouse to restock kitchen inventories.
  • The candidate should produce items in accordance with production schedules and standards.
  • The candidate should maintain a reasonable degree of cleanliness and sanitation in the area
  • The candidate should perform any necessary preventative maintenance chores and completes any necessary documentation
  • The candidate should execute obligations outlined in the Purdys Quality Management System, such as mandatory documentation and quality inspections.
  • The candidate should follow general duties as needed Other responsibilities may be added or removed as needed.
