Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Geriatrics
Credentials: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be experienced in handling repetitive tasks
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be capable of managing a large caseload

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
- The candidates should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake, and conduct specimen collection
- The candidates should be able to provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care, monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
- The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within the defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures, monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
