Job Description:

Position: L.P.N. (licensed practical nurse)
No of Vacancies: 20
Salary: $40.00 hourly 8 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Casual employment Part time leading to full time

: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Home care and visiting care agency, Hospital/medical facility or clinic, Nursing home/home for the aged, Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Emergency room, Geriatrics, Gynecology, Medical unit, Obstetrics, Oncology, Psychiatry, Float, Rehabilitation
Credentials: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, Immunization records, Adult Abuse Registry check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods
  • The candidates should be willing to for overtime

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
  • The candidate should have values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
  • The candidates should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
  • The candidates should be able to monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
