Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English and French Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a CEGEP, DEC, or Attestation d’Études Collégiales (AEC) in quality control materials and civil engineering
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite, demonstrate attention to detail and care about the accuracy of information recorded
- The candidate should be fluent in French, both spoken and written and possess a valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform visual inspections of reserve stacks and loading faces, and promptly advise the lab technician if any issues such as segregation, contamination, or equipment shortages are identified
- The candidate should be able to follow the sampling frequency outlined in the Quality Plan to ensure consistent qualitative monitoring during production and delivery
- The candidate should be able to conduct quality control tests on aggregates grain size, LA, micro Deval) and asphalt, bitumen extraction, grain size, density) in accordance with established standards and procedures, and accurately record all results in the designated systems
- The candidate should be able to notify the lab technician of any non-compliance with quality standards
- The candidate should be able to clean the laboratory at the end of each day and carry out routine maintenance on testing equipment
- The candidate should be able to perform any other related duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor
