Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Holds a college diploma (DEC) in food process and quality technology, food processing techniques, microbiology, biochemistry or Bachelor of Science
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 2 years of experience in the field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess the ability to plan and organize work independently
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be familiar with the methods and software used in a laboratory
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail in daily tasks
  • The candidates should have knowledge and proficiency in using different MS-Office software
  • The candidates should have good communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work in close collaboration with colleagues and ensure the integrity of the analyzes carried out on products manufactured at Mount Royal and carry out physicochemical and microbiological analyzes on the product
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for the application and improvement of procedures and methods and assist the laboratory team in applying procedures and resolving problems, including the preparation and plating of samples
  • The candidates should be able to conduct tours for sampling atmospheric air, water, and fingers and able to read the results of various analyses
  • The candidates should be able to prepare the media required for analyses and collaborate on proficiency testing and pathogen analyses
  • The candidates should be able to collect samples from production lines and prepare them for analysis and able to carry out various analyses, including fat, humidity, sorbic, water activity, pH, acidity, texture, salt, color, and brix
  • The candidates should be able to compile the results of the analyses and analyze products and rejects for the presence of foreign materials
  • The candidates should be able to support production during special requests for analyses and perform other related duties as assigned
  • The candidates should be able to evaluate situations and intervene logically and methodically to investigate, resolve, and document problems, as well as implement corrective and preventive actions
