Norman Hardie Winery & Vineyard is a family business of winnery. We make wines from our own vineyards. We make both red and white wines. We sell our products locally as well as export. Salary: $15.50 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: 1152 Greer Road, Wellington, ON, K0K 3L0
Shifts: Day, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, 07:00 to 16:00
Work setting: Staff accommodation provided and rural area
Work site environment: Candidates should work in Fruit and vegetable combination farming, outdoors, viticulture, wet or damp, dusty, hot and cold or refrigerated place
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Type of Crops: Grapes and Tomatoes
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be physically strong
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail
- The candidate should have hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking
- The candidate should be able to standing for extended periods
- The candidate should be able to walk
- The candidate should be able for bending, crouching, kneeling
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to hand harvesting vegetables
- The candidate should be able to hoeing crops
- The candidate should be able to maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidate should be able to weeding
- The candidate should be able to harvest crops
