Apple Valley Foods Inc is one of the largest pie producers in Canada. Our top selling pies contain apples that are sourced predominately from Annapolis Valley and also from Ontario. Salary: $18.00 hourly for 30 to 50 hours per week

Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime
Work setting: Bakery, Food and beverage plant
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and repetitive taskers
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp areas, in hot area, and in cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible, reliable, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- The candidates should be able to feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers
- The candidates should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers
- The candidates should be able to feed and unload processing machines
- The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- The candidates should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas
