Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Food and beverage plant, Equipment operation, and Dressmaking shop

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Quality assurance or control
Manufacturing sector experience: Food
Regulations knowledge: Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, cold or refrigerated environments, and noisy conditions

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various situations and exhibit reliability in their work and commitments
  • The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others, and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making
  • The candidates should be organized in their tasks and responsibilities

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should have food safety/handling skills and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers, and feed and unload processing machines
  • The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects, clean machines and immediate work areas, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
  • The candidates should be able to prepare production and other reports, establish methods to meet work schedules, and coordinate work activities with other work units
