Diane Janssens based in Appin, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Labourer, Fruit Farming. Diane Janssens is known to grow apples and various kinds of fruits and vegetables. We have constructed high tunnels which we use for soil grown fruit and vegetables. We are known to grow healthier and higher quality fruits and vegetables with little to no pesticide use. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Location: Appin, ON
Shifts: Day, 08:00 to 17:00
Work Site Environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming, Wet/damp, Hot
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of Crops: Apples, Asparagus, Bell peppers, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Cucumbers, Garlic, Raspberries, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Zucchinis
Equipment and Machinery Experience: Planting equipment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills and work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should be a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Hand Harvesting Vegetables, Hoeing crops, Weeding and Harvest Crops
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops also examine produce for quality and prepare for market
