C.A. Pippy Park Commission based in St. John’s, NL is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Labourer, golf course. C.A. Pippy Park Commission is a government organization which is responsible for managing and maintaining the C.A. Pippy Park, a large urban park located within the city limits. We are committed to providing residents and visitors with access to natural and recreational resources within an urban environment. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.91 to $20.58 hourly (to be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to weed, prune and trim trees and plants
  • The candidates should be able to cut grass
  • The candidates should be able to remove litter and garbage
  • The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers
  • The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens


  • The candidates will get a dental plan, health care plan, vision care benefits, free parking, on-site amenities, on-site recreation and activities, and other various benefits as per the collective agreement
