K&R Poultry Ltd based in Abbotsford, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Labourer, meat-packing plant. K&R Poultry Ltd is a poultry processing plant located in the scenic Fraser Valley. Since being formed in 1995 we have focused on producing a high quality product and as a result our products are in high demand. We are a federally inspected plant and are able to ship inter-provincially and internationally. In addition, our plant is HACCP certified. Our main focus is on the main stream processing of chickens, ducks, silkie chickens and turkeys. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle weight more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp area, odours, hot area, and cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to do food safety/handling skills
- The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- The candidates should be able to feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers
- The candidates should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors, feed and unload processing machines
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- The candidates should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, clean machines and immediate work areas
