Work setting: Golf course, Landscape contractor, Various locations, Park and recreation sites and Private residence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks, should have a strong attention to detail, and should be comfortable with walking
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, work in wet or damp environments, in noisy conditions, in dusty conditions, in hot environments
- The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions and should be able to weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
- The candidates should be able to cut grass, rake and collect refuse
- The candidates should be able to cart and spread topsoil and other materials
- The candidates should be able to lay sod or seed, plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and apply fertilizers
- The candidates should be able to water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and should be able to operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
