Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Day, Morning
Work setting: Landscape contractor, Landscape maintenance
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Equipment and machinery experience: Small engine equipment, Sod cutter, and Weed trimmer/edger
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, in wet/damp conditions, in noisy and dusty environments, and in hot environments
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks, possess manual dexterity, and have attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with walking and able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, weed, prune, and trim trees and plants, and cut grass
- The candidates should be able to rake and collect refuse, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, and lay sod or seed
- The candidates should be able to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
