Salary: $20.00 to $26.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 50 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: Bradford, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses not paid by employer
Work setting: Landscape contractor, Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Backhoe, Front end loader, Gravel or dump truck, Pick-up truck, Small engine equipment, Mortar and concrete mixers, Concrete saws
Type of heavy equipment operated: Backhoe excavator, loader, Bobcats
Area of work experience: Snow removal
Construction specialization: Retaining walls, Interlocking brick
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety vest
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to work in outdoors, wet/damp, noisy, dusty, and hot area
The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination, ability to distinguish between colours
The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

The candidate should be dependable, flexible, reliable, and be able to work as a team

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, lay sod or seed
The candidates should be able to plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees, prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
The candidates should be able to construct and install prefabricated masonry units
The candidates should be able to mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
