Heike Designs Inc. specializes in creating beautiful and functional spaces for both residential and commercial clients. Our company’s services include interior design, project management, and custom furniture design. We work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget, and then develops creative and practical solutions that reflect our individual style. Location: Whistler, BC
Shifts
: 07:00 to 17:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations, Lawn care company, Landscape contractor

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years’
Landscaping experience: Residential projects
Area of work experience: Horticulture and/or gardening
Area of specialization: Plant knowledge and identification
Credentials: Horticulturist Trade Certification, Landscape Gardener Trade Certification, Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination, distinguish between colours
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
  • The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be organized and reliable
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to survey and assess designated sites, water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products
  • The candidates should be able to apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions, assess the health of lawns, examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease
  • The candidates should be able to plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes
  • The candidates should be able to plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures
  • The candidates should be able to plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens, plant and move trees
