Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of work experience: Cleaning, Snow removal
Equipment and machinery experience: Roto-tiller, Small engine equipment, Sod cutter, Sprayer or duster, Tractor mower, Weed trimmer/edger
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, at heights, in wet/damp conditions, and in noisy and dusty environments
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks, and have attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, be comfortable with walking, and be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a client focus, be dependable, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should be flexible, organized, and reliable team players
- The candidates should be punctual
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist with landscape constructions, including weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants
- The candidates should be able to cut grass, rake, and collect refuse, as well as remove litter and garbage
- The candidates should be able to cart and spread topsoil and other materials, lay sod or seed, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
- The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, repair and maintain equipment, and water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, examine trees and shrubs for problems and diseases, and apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting with treatment solutions
- The candidates should be able to plan and construct landscaped environments, which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures
