Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school diploma or provincial equivalency, and/or experience in business administration
Experience: Candidates should have experience in customer service and possess experience making deliveries or working as a driver
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to spend most of their day outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers on their route
- The candidates should have the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
- The candidates should be individuals who enjoy meeting people and making their day
- The candidates should have a preference for being outside and active year-round
- The candidates should express a desire to work for a great national company
- The candidates should feel proud to serve their fellow Canadians
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in all types of weather
- The candidates should have the availability to be on-call
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to start their day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries
- The candidates should be able to load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle
- The candidates should be able to return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery
