Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have safe driving experience for at least 3 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
- The candidates should have the ability to work in all types of weather and available to be on-call
- The candidates should be experience in making deliveries or working as a driver
- The candidates should possess the ability to read and write, along with experience in customer service
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to start their day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries
- The candidates should be able to load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle, spending most of their day outside delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers on their route
- The candidates should be able to return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery
