Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have previous working experience with the elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment is considered an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts, inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body
  • The candidates should have valid CPR & First Aid Certification is preferred for the candidates
  • The candidates should have a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
  • The candidates should have any previous course in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care would be a huge asset
  • The candidates should have a passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care


  • The candidate should be able to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, document, and direct resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff
  • The candidate should be able to provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services, respecting the client’s right to individualized planning of health services
  • The candidate should be able to work with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance with policies and procedures
  • The candidate should be able to administer and record prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice
  • The candidate should be able to maintain the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting
  • The candidate should be able to apply dressings and treatments according to physician’s orders and policy
  • The candidate should be able to assist with the supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff
