Salary: $23.00 to $28.00 hourly (to be negotiated) 8 to 20 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Part time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Credentials: Intravenous (IV) therapy Certification, Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to do sound discrimination and work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
- The candidates should be able to clean and sterilize the operating room and instruments, monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
- The candidates should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- The candidates should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
