Pro Vita Care Management is a British Columbia owned and operated company, providing contract care services to various homes. We have over 20 years of experience in the industry, including complex care, administration, management of private facilities, as well as development and re-development of new and existing facilities. We provide registered nurses, registered psychiatric nurses, licensed practical nurses, care management professionals, resident care aides, recreation/activity personnel, rehabilitation assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social Workers. Job Description:

Salary: $28.49 hourly for 5 to 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Part time leading to full time
Location: Coquitlam, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening and Morning
Work Setting: Nursing home or home for the aged
Security and Safety: Criminal record should checked, immunization records needed and Tuberculosis test will done
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: Candidates must have Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse by the province or territory of work, CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:

- The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
- The candidate should be able to take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitore nutritional intake and conduct specimen collection
- The candidate should be able to monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
- The candidate should be able to provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
- The candidate should be able to provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
- The candidate should be able to monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
