Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, Early Morning
Transportation information: Vehicle supplied by employer, Willing to travel, Willing to travel regularly, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation
Work setting: Various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Asset languages: Mandarin, Persian, Punjabi
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Own tools/equipment: Tools
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Housekeeping room attendant certification
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Reference required, Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual, client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have values and ethics, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries
- The candidates should be able to vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, stock linen closet, disinfect operating rooms and other areas
- The candidates should be able to clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items
- The candidates should be able to attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities
- The candidates should be able to pick up debris and empty trash containers
- The candidates should be able to clean changing rooms and showers
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
