Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment, Room and board provided, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Willing to relocate, and Employer’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Hindi, and Panjabi
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smoking
- The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual and demonstrate dependability
- The candidates should show initiative and be organized
- The candidates should exhibit reliability and possess patience
- The candidates should demonstrate honesty
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care with empathy and professionalism, meeting the individual needs of each client, and administer medications to clients according to prescribed schedules and dosages, ensuring their health and well-being
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene respectfully, maintaining their dignity, and assist clients in regular exercise routines, such as walking, to promote physical well-being
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for household tasks in the absence of the householder, ensuring the smooth functioning of the household, and feed clients or assist them in feeding, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition and hydration
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the household, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for clients
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship to clients, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their emotional well-being, and provide personal care according to the specific requirements and preferences of each client
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of the client, ensuring their health and well-being
