Salary: $18.00 hourly for 75 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Breslau, ON
Work setting: Room and board provided, work in employer’s/client’s home, employer’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Target audience: Persons with Alzheimer’s disease, elderly, infants (3 months – 11 months), kindergarten age (4 – 5 years), newborns (including expecting mothers), persons with a disability, persons with an intellectual disability, persons with mental health disabilities, persons with physical disabilities, school age (6 – 12 years), toddlers to pre-school (1 – 3 years)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the job and willing to work overtime when required
- The candidates should be proficient in performing repetitive tasks efficiently and able to work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should exhibit dependability in fulfilling their responsibilities and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and show initiative in taking on tasks and solving problems
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making and maintain organization in their work habits
- The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and deadlines while having the ability to multitask effectively
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing, assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, and feed or assist in feeding
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care and prepare and serve nutritious meals
