Salary: $21.00 hourly for 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Nanaimo, BC
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning
Target Audience: Elderly, Cuisine specialties and Vietnamese cuisine
Transportation information: Public transportation is available, Travel expenses paid by employer and Vehicle supplied by employer
Work setting: Room and board provided, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Relocation costs covered by employer and Willing to relocate
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset Language: Vietnamese
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong client focus in their interactions and be dependable in fulfilling their responsibilities
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication abilities
- The candidates should be reliable in their work
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide companionship
- The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
- The candidates should be able to provide personal care
