Shifts: Day, Evening, Night and Weekend
Work Location Information: Work in employer’s or client’s home and urban area Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Work Site Environment: The candidate should be a non-smoker
Weight Handling: Between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
Security and Safety: Medical exam; Drug test; Immunization records; Tuberculosis test; Criminal record check; Adult Abuse Registry
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Candidates must have CPR certificate Target Audience: Elderly, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with an intellectual disability, Persons with a disability, Males and Persons with Alzheimer’s disease

Responsibilities:

- The candidate should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidate should be able to mend clothing and linens
- The candidate should be able to launder clothing and household linens
- The candidate should be able to assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
- The candidate should be able to administer bedside and personal care
- The candidate should be able to feed or assist in feeding
- The candidate should be able to change non-sterile dressings

- The candidate should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidate should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
