Salary: $19.00 hourly for 40 to 44 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Scarborough, ON
Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Morning
Target audience: Elderly and Persons with physical disabilities

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Credentials: CPR Certificate, Certificate of Conduct, and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel and combine sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks and handle weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
• The candidates should be able to handle weights between 61 and 80 kg (133-176 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be dependable, excellent in oral communication, and flexible
• The candidates should exercise judgment, be organized, and reliable
• The candidates should be patient and honest

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to care for pets and administer bedside and personal care
• The candidates should be able to administer medications and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk and collect specimens
• The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding and launder clothing and household linens
• The candidates should be able to mend clothing and linens and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• The candidates should be able to provide companionship and provide personal care
• The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
