Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer, Work in employer’s/client’s home, Urban area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Credentials: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Target audience: Persons with Alzheimer’s disease, Elderly
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder)
- The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to provide companionship, provide personal care, prepare and serve nutritious meals
